Okay, now on to the justification of this portrait. I'm not a MJ fan, haven't been since I was like 7. Back in the days when the moonwalk was the stuff and mikey was black.
Okay, now to the background. Anyone that has done any amount of portraits in any manner knows that one of the hardest parts of doing portraits is facial symmetry (particularly left:right).
Well, this was just a test so to speak, where not having facial symmetry was actually an asset. This was by far the easiest portrait I've ever done, and I'm pretty happy with the result. It literally took twenty minutes to draw

Great! I've done a portrait of MJ before, myself--and I, too, found it easier than average. Your comment about the asymmetry makes sense to me on that level. Regardless, you nailed him a lot better than I did.
